Hi, this is Allison Field and I want to welcome you to my Create Your BLANK vlog, where I explore topics that help you align your mind, body, and spirit—so that you’re able to create your BLANK and have a beautiful life.
The Link Between Values and Action
So today’s topic is values and how that leads to inspired action.
The last vlog that I did was all about explaining how I think values are key to helping you be most aligned with the life that you love. So inspired action—once you’re aligned with your values and you know what they are (and I invite you to go back and listen to that vlog where I explain all about values and how to do your own assessment)—you’re able to come up with your magic top 10.
When you align with those values, you’re going to feel a lot of ease and flow and satisfaction and happiness and joy—just in your day-to-day—because you’re doing what charges you up the most. It’s really key and important to look at that.
What Is Inspired Action?
Inspired action is the how part.
It’s the “who you are” and the “what you’re doing out in the world,” whatever your BLANK is. The how is always an interesting topic, because spiritually, we say to let Spirit—or GUS—support you and guide you into the how. And you’re not supposed to be thinking about it or focusing on it. And that is true.
At the same time, I use my intuition and my higher self and GUS to support me in guiding the how, which guides me in inspired action.
If I’m taking action from my head—thinking about it, evaluating it—that’s helpful. But the hit, the idea, the inspiration—I believe that comes from GUS.
And when you’re taking action from that place, you know it’s from your higher self—not your ego. When you operate from ego, you’re not aligned with your values or your highest self and you find all sorts of reasons not to do the thing you’re wanting to do.
That’s why inspired action is so cool.
You Don’t Need the Whole Picture
You don’t need to know the whole BLANK.
Every day, I sit down with my tea and meditate. I ask for guidance. Then I write down anything that comes to mind.
When something pops into your head—that’s Spirit. That’s GUS.
I’ve ignored it before. I’ve pushed it aside and pretended it wasn’t there. But the truth is: it’s right in front of us. It’s available to all of us.
So I invite you to practice and play with it. Notice how it shifts and changes your whole world—because when you’re operating from your higher mind, magic happens.
It Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
You can sit for one minute, two minutes, twenty minutes. I usually do twenty because that works with my schedule, but you can do what works for you.
I love using the Insight Timer app for guided meditations—it’s full of amazing teachers and resources for spiritual support.
And from that space, start tuning in to the inspired actions that feel aligned with your values and bring you the most fun and ease.
If It Feels Off, Don’t Ignore It
Let me be real: creating my own BLANK hasn’t been one-and-done.
There are five or six versions of things I’ve tried because something felt off. When that happens—when it feels hard, when the emotions feel heavy—that’s the first indicator for me to look within and ask:
“What’s off here?”
“What inspired action can I take to make this feel better?”
Because that’s my #1 goal: to feel better.
And when I’m not feeling good, I know I can look within and shift something.
Build Trust With Your Inner Guidance
This isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about building trust with your intuition, your guides, GUS—whatever you call it.
I used to think my guides were too busy helping other people. But they’re not.
They’re available to you too.
When you ask, they respond. So go into your meditation and ask a specific question:
- What’s my next best step?
- What do I need to know about this hard thing I’m going through?
Say what it is. Ask. Then—listen.
That’s the key.
Listen + Act = Magic
You have to listen for the answer and act on it.
What I try to do is write everything down. I use voice notes in my phone. I track it and look back. And that’s what builds your confidence. That’s what builds your trust.
So—play with it. Practice. And let me know what happens! I’d love to hear your stories, your aha moments, and the ways inspired action has shifted things for you.
Thanks for watching/reading. I hope you have a beautiful day, and I’ll see you next time!
